Eve of the Eve
Seems a fitting way to open this entry with the festive hit from Wham! (My favourite Christmas song of all time I might add), this song was once my highest listen to son on my iTunes, I kid you not!
This has been my festive playlist on the ol' iPod this year, a far cry from my old days which had (amongst the mentioned below) Ertha Kitt, Frank Sinatra, Paul McCartney, The good '84 version of the Band Aid song, Wizzard, Slade, Dean Martin and many more "classics":
Saosin - Mookies Last Christmas
Wham! - Last Christmas
Mariah Carey - All I Want for Christmas is You
Shakin' Stevens - Merry Christmas Everyone
Thrice - Carol of the Bells
Thrice - Happy Christmas (War is Over)
The Raveonettes - The Christmas Song
Jimmy Eat World - Last Christmas (Wham! cover)
Low - Just Like Christmas
Rooney - Merry Xmas Everybody (Slade cover)
So I finally finished my Christmas shopping today, very tedious when you have one or two bits still to get and the cues are a fucking riot, but alas, it's over. And if the people in question aren't grateful for me missing my lunch break so that they have extra stuff, by golly i'll be mad I tells ya!!
Came home, tidied, lit candles, wrapped presents, you know all the stuff Carrie and the gang would get up to when they're not having sex with a city... Anywho, I'll let with a shot of me and my Christmas lights that Mummy JUST put up in my room on the 23rd... yeesh, leaving it late right? WRONG! It's never too late, just ask the Grinch!
Ho Ho Ho
