Return of the King

So the impromptu 'Post-Tour' blog kinda broke down, been back nearly a week now and it's kinda faded out. I truly had grand ideas, featuring many forms of media etc... but alas the age old bastard of a speed-hump in my life struck again and sent me cascading into my own demise and halted any sort of pancake eating on tuesday or socialising properly, thats right the nemesis that is.... THE FUCKING FLU!

However, I decided i'd skip the stories for a diluted version, so here I have a few pictures to share, videos are on the way i'd imagine:

Tesco at 2am:

Properly had a fuckin' sick time being away, travelled to some cool cities and hung out with all the awesome dudes every night. Seriously go check out all the homies in My Actions Your Exit and To Catch a Theif, both rad bands and great dudes.

XXII

"What's it going to be, eh? " Twas not but 22 years ago today 'Your Humble Narrator' was brought into this world.
To be honest I still feel like i'm 14 or sumthin' but thats by the by. This week has taken a bizarre twist in the fact that I am scarily cheerful for the first time in 2009. Birthdays are terrible, too much focus. But s'all good, driving Goldie now. Happy Birthday to 'Josh Brolin' and 'Christina Ricci' too, The Goonies is one of my top 3 films ever and The Addams family is sick too.

Yeesh this last year has flown in, loadsa new experiences n shit. Pretty sad it's been a year since I went to NYC, I had really hoped to get back there before my next birthday, but thats the way it goes sometimes...

So, to the future, 22 mang!! We'll see what being this age bring me this year. Got tour next week which i'm super stoked on.

Happy Birthday to the King.

For Exes

Hey I know it's getting pretty late, but I was wondering, how are things around the office these days? Did your boss ever give you that raise? Does that guy still work next door, the one with two bands that are great? Anyway, I guess I'm just calling to say I was thinking back to when we went to school upstate. With a full week before classes in September, you got the best seat in the house, sprawled out on the couch "for the night" and stayed there for a whole semester. Hey, I know it's getting pretty late, but I was thinking I could swing by your office tomorrow on your break. You could tell your roommate to cover us while we're away. Do you think that it would be a shame if I wished that we were back in school again, if only so I could walk you home? Before you got your own place, with your own bills to pay...but I know it's getting pretty late and tomorrow morning you've got work. I know you don't like calling, putting yourself out there to get hurt. But just say the word and I'll be outside in the parking lot with the engine running by the curb. Hey. I'll even let you pick the records we play. All I want to do is waste some time with you and drive the night away. So if you get this message, call me back whenever. I'll be around all day.

New name, same games.

Bright-One

I, accompanied by my younger and uglier brother, attended Brighton this past weekend for their Brighton Tattoo Convention.
Here is a visual account of the days where my hands weren't too cold to take pictures:

A reaction to a classic Fraser funny... obviously!

Till I put him to sleep...

...Forever!

Managed to get a parking space right outside the door of the convention.

Saw lots of familiar faces inside and got some lovely work by Claudia Rossi. I saw some fat chick getting an actual picture of Amy Winehouse on her back whilst the dude mouthed the words to the blaring Coheed & Cambria he had on, this brightened my day.

About to greet...

Laughing through the tears.

So yes about 9 hours or so after we arrived at the convention it was time to celebrate with the only thing that soakes up the pain of needle to skin... PIZZA HUT!
To my utter dismay the said 'Hut had closed but 11minutes earlier... We then went on the hunt for something cheesy and flat.
Oh Hello... PIZZA KING! (what?)
Here was a Pizza vendor on the Brighton Seafront that did some rather enticing offers!

Unfortunately the Pizza tasted of ass and the Diet Coke was a good 4 months or so out of date. The swine!
I'll be sure never to eat from there again.

Sunday visit to the Lego shop and in and around the Lanes in Brighton.
A tad brisk I must have thought to myself... If only I had seen what was coming...

Lego Volkswagen Beetle.

Lego Taj Mahal.

Lego AT-AT from Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back.

Lego pigs.

Ultimate Warrior paste-up... we went to see The Wrestler aswell to escape the cold. Spiffing.

Nice red-on-red wall art.

Here endeth my photo takings of Sunday as the snow blew through the lanes and caused my nose to morph into a pink faucet and my fingers to fall off. As mentioned we shopped for a tad longer, bought some Smiths CDs and comics, cheeky Nutella milkshakes, then escaped to The Wrestler at the Odeon. Shoddy theatre 6.

7:00am Monday morning.... no flights today

Back to bed then Twilight. Not as shite as I had imagined. Didn't make me want to be a vampire whatsoever. The girl in it is unbelievable and I think i'll let her be my future wife.
Pretty cold and miserable Monday, bought a Morrissey cd and some new socks and underwear, that was nice. Snow galore only to be made worse by... THE RETURN OF THE PIZZA KING!
Pizza Hut shut early due to too much business or some other witchcraft and we were forced to eat the unholiest of foods, going back on my previous oath no less! However, this time we were not punked by the out of date Diet Coke, but the rubber excuse for Pizza meant I simply couldn't finish mine.
Oh dear.

Managed to get home Tuesday, another day off work. Will miss Brighton.
Oh shit, I just remembered, I live in Glasgow. FUCK.
